Chinna Jeeyar Swamy consecrated Lord Narasimha Swami and Goddess Lakshmi idols of Yadadri temple after they were shifted to the Balalayalam (small temple) on Thursday. This was done to perform all pujas and sevas till the Lord Laxminarsimha Swamy’s cave temple at Yadadri reopens. The main temple is closed for renovation till next April.
Under the aegis of HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, Balalayam Ceremony was celebrated in a grand manner.

Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Consecrates Idols at Balalayam
“We believe it’s a good beginning for the development of the temple. There was purnahuthi at the Yagashala. Pilgrims can have darshan of the Lord at the Balayalam. All facilities will be created for hassle-free darshan,” Jeeyar Swamy said. The devotees can have darshan of the deity at Balalayam. Ministers A. Indra Karan Reddy and Jagadish Reddy and other officials participated in the programme.
It may be recalled that it was decided that Lord Laxminarsimha Swamy’s cave temple at Yadadri will be closed for nine months for pilgrims from April 21 to take up renovation works. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao sanctioned Rs. 100 crore for the development of the temple Yadagirigutta—renamed as Yadadri after Telangana state formation on the lines of famous Tirupati Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Andhra Pradesh.
