Rama is believed to be the 7th avatar of Vishnu having a human form. Usually Sri Rama Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of Chaitra Masam as per the Hindu calendar.The celebrations of Sri Rama Navami will start nine days before this date and this year the Sri Rama Navami is on April 15, 2016.
The Telangana Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao presented silk clothes and talambralu at Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam, Bhadrachalam and participated in the Sita Rama Kalyanam held on Ramanavami.
The Chief Minister was speaking after presenting “Mutyala Talambralu” and silk clothes to the presiding deities to mark wedding of Lord Sri Rama and Sita at the abode of Bhadrachalam in Khammam district. He was accompanied by his family members, Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao, Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and others. Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy also presented silk clothes to the presiding deities on the occasion.
Speaking to the media later, the Chief Minister said he would hold talks with spiritual guru China Jeeyar Swamy on the temple development. The State government will take all measures to develop Parnashala, Jathayu Mandap and other facilities at the temple, he declared.
